Re. New Kelowna performing arts centre alternative proposed site
What an incredible proposal and the city already owns the land.
Ten stars to city Coun. Gord Lovegrove for recognizing this would be the ultimate site for that proposal.
Kelowna should be the cultural centre of the Okanagan Valley and must have a world class arts and cultural centre.
The former historic Willow Inn property at Queensway and Mill Street near the lake is a perfect location for that incredible structure.
It is on the lake, and being close to the valley’s public transportation hub makes it near perfect, with unfettered access for everybody in the whole valley.
It is encouraging to see our city councillors recognize we are ready to entertain the world and the impact that will ultimately have on tourism.
Let’s get behind this. Let’s get the shovels out. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime to do something that makes a lot of sense for everybody.
