I was hurrying to finish errands and shopping before picking my granddaugther up from school recently.
When I arrived at Costco I realized I had left my purse in my shopping cart in the Canadian Tire parking lot.
I went to the customer service desk and was told that the purse had been "just turned in by that gentleman over there."
All my cash, cards and personal items were still in the purse.
The gentleman accepted my thanks but would accept nothing else. He proudly declared he was Croatian and Croatians believed in helping people.
Canadians believe in helping people too.
In honour of the gentleman in the blue coat I am sending a donation to Castanet’s Cast a Light Program in the amount of the cash that he did not touch in my purse.
