RE:City of Penticton lays off 21
My heart goes out to those affected by the layoffs, surely someone in politics has an idea how to avoid such as disaster?
Perhaps the mayor could have forewarned his employees that a disastrous plan was in the works and appeal to all employees for ideas/suggestions how to prevent this?
I am retired and in my 70s, but my brain hasn't ceased working (yet) but it's working enough to write to others to try and come up with a solution to Penticton's problems.
Is Penticton in need of anything apart from more residents? Don't residents bring more revenue into the area?
