Upset there's no budget

It’s time to speak up.

The Liberal government has reportedly decided not to present a federal budget this year. That’s right — no roadmap, no accountability, no transparency on how our tax dollars are being spent. This isn’t just political negligence, it’s a complete disregard for the fundamental responsibility of government.

(Former) Prime Minister Justin Trudeau once famously said, “budgets balance themselves.” Now it seems they don’t even need to exist. And with (current Prime Minister) Mark Carney, a former top banker, in the mix we expected at least a baseline of fiscal responsibility. Instead, we’re watching our government operate without financial oversight while we foot the bill.

Let’s be clear, the government has no money of its own—it comes from us, the taxpayers. We are being told to just sit back and trust (the government) to spend it however it likes, without scrutiny and without a budget? That is unacceptable.

We must demand transparency. We must demand accountability. We must make our voices heard. Peaceful protest is not just a right, it’s a responsibility when our democracy is being quietly undermined.

Contact your MPs. Organize. Show up. Speak out. Canada deserves better.
