Who cares about ostriches?

Re. Ostrich cull order upheld (Castanet, May 13)

So, 400 healthy (ostriches) in isolation are about to be murdered. Who cares?

They had the flu, survived it and are now immune. Who cares? They are not part of the food chain. Who cares?

The jackboots of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency will mow down this family (who owns the ostrich farm). Who cares?

Don’t ever equate the law with justice.
