HST fight not hopeless

Is the Anti-HST fight hopeless? NO! From what I have gathered, it goes something like this:

I believe the way the Anti-HST campaign works is that if 10% of the voters in all 85 BC ridings vote against the HST, then Elections BC will allow a referendum so the people of BC can vote for or against the HST.

My understanding is that if the government then refuses to hold a Referendum, or if the Referendum vote is allowed and goes against implementing the HST and the government still refuses to repeal it, then there are steps that can be taken to actually remove Mr. Campbell from power. Could someone please comment on whether I have my facts straight on this? I'm pretty sure I have as I've read several articles to this effect but I want to make sure.

I also understand that even with the HST legally in place, it can still be repealed contrary to what the proponents of the tax and the Liberal government would have you believe.

I believe the HST was in place, and legally repealed, in the early '90s in Saskatchewan.

Since the "updated" list released yesterday by the Liberals of things that will have HST added is still not at all comprehensive and missing several key items such as vehicle parking and boat moorage just to name two that might affect us living in Kelowna, if you are against the HST being implemented - DON'T GIVE UP!

The fight is far from over just because the Referendum vote result is termed "non-binding" - it's confusing and sounds like a done deal no matter the results, but from what I understand, it does not mean that nothing more can legally be done to quash the tax.
