Re.Carole Kormendy’s letter, Liberals clear choice for her (Castanet, April 23)
I have lived through many Canadian prime ministers, from Louis St Laurent to Justin Trudeau, and there have been some good and some not so good ones.
I think Trudeau, while he got us through the very difficult times with Covid, outlived his usefulness and I am very glad (current Liberal Leader) Mark Carney is poised to become our elected prime minister.
(The letter writer) makes some very good points to elect Carney and not (Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre) (as prime minister). Poilievre and his continuous Canada is broken and everything Trudeau did was wrong, is not the leader I want to run this country.
We are in a very serious situation with the world as it is today and being a veteran, I want, in my riding retired major (Liberal candidate) Stephen Fuhr, a person who has gone through conflict and knows what it is to stand up for Canadians, especially with the (U.S. President Donald Trump in power in the U.S.
Carney, because of his background, will deal effectively with Trump and the rest of the world.
As I read and understand what Poilievre, is all about, he makes me nervous. Not in my Canada.
