'Wokeness' is communism

“Wokeness” is the great lie, communism rebranded.

“Woke” people want to force you to acknowledge or accept something you know not to be true. When the left is unable to defend a position or statement, it will call you all sorts of names—denier, racist, hateful etc.

The “woke left” depends on conformity, the moment you think for yourself it will attack you relentlessly. Just look at what happened to California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who recently stated men competing in women’s sports in unfair. Until about a week ago, he was a darling of the left and pushed all sorts of “woke” policies. Elon Musk is another great example. I went back a couple years and the left was praising him as the saviour of the planet. Now it attacks him relentlessly.

Many conservatives, including me, believe the “woke mind virus,” as I call it, is the single greatest threat to democracy. It truly is a means to eliminate people’s ability to freely express themselves and challenge narratives. The “woke left” believe that questioning its policies and narratives should have consequences.

As for (now independent Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream MLA) Tara Armstrong, I’m proud of her for standing up for her convictions and beliefs. The fact is no children’s bodies have been discovered at the Kamloops residential school, or any other residential school for that matter.

I believe everything should be questioned and examined. That’s the true difference between conservatives and “woke” liberals. Conservatives believe in critical thinking, while the “woke left” believes in conformity.
