Carbon tax loss hurts budget
B.C. will have a $1.5 billion hole in its budget with 2.5 billion dollars less revenue from (cancelling the) carbon tax minus the $995 million paid out in rebates.
In other words, our government's budget included $1.5 billion from the carbon tax, which was intended for spending on things other than climate change.
If our government has any integrity, it will save the $1.5 billion by reducing our bloated government back to 2015 levels and have a surplus.
B.C. residents should hang our heads in shame for re-electing the NDP for another term.
