Wants forest protections

Re. Eli Pivnick’s column, Case against clearcutting (Castanet, March 18)

I would like to thank Eli Pivnick for this column and for his huge effort to work for our forests, which are slowly disappearing.

I have been put a lot of my time into writing many complaints to a lot of official places against barbaric practices in the forests, but all in vain. Let's hope his column is a wake up call for all of us—namely our government—to do something for our forests and environment.
