Conservative party Leader Pierre Poilievre is wrong in so many ways.
One has only to look back over the past couple of years since Poilievre became leader of the Conservative party to easily see where he is trying to take this country of ours.
In fact, all a person has to do is read between the lines and to listen closely to what he says. Listen closely because it is the regurgitation of the same old thing for the past two years.
Each and every time Poilievre opens his mouth, it (he says outgoing Prime Minister Justin) Trudeau is the cause of inflation, caused housing prices to rise or caused high grocery prices. What (Poilievre) seems not to understand is the whole world was, and is, in turmoil that is not of (Trudeau’s) choosing nor doing. But, Poilievre blames the world’s woes on Trudeau.
He has been fixated on Trudeau for a very long time, which is evident as we saw him change to new hair, rolled up sleeves, no glasses and a strolling walk just like Trudeau.
As we enter a new era where U.S. President Donald Trump is creating, and will continue to create, uncertainty in our lives, we need a person who understands the problems at hand, who has dealt with not only the financial crisis in 2008/10 in Canada, but was at least a year ahead of any other country to avert a Canadian financial melt-down.
Leaving Canada to take over the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020, (new Liberal Leader and prime minister-designate Mark) Carney’s guidance was able to bring financial stability to the EU during Brexit.
If we are to weather the idiosyncrasies of (Trump), who has created havoc in the, world, we need a leader with a sound mind who is well equipped to deal with the daily problems that will be part of the future of Canada. We do not need someone name-calling and making sarcastic spiteful and unkind remarks.
Is that really the person Canada needs to steer us through these turbulent times? I don’t think so.
