Limit public sector increase
Re. Tough negotiations ahead (Castanet, Feb. 14)
It’s time for the B.C. government to work for everyone, not just public sector workers, whose numbers have increased 133% since the NDP as elected (to government) in 2017.
Given (public sector workers) a cost of living increase of less than 3% and increase pensions and benefits by the same amount. Alternatively, lay off 50% of them and give increases above 3%, based strictly on merit.
Also, check the statistics showing time away from the job, which is the second highest of any (working group) in B.C.
