Carney is not the answer

I have a hard time believing the sudden 180-degree shift by (Liberal leadership candidate) Mark Carney and the other Liberals on resource infrastructure and meaningful change to the carbon taxes currently levied on consumers.

What I believe will happen is the Liberal carbon tax will be removed to great fanfare and reinstated somewhere in the tax code immediately, such that the consumer gets hosed through inflated food production costs , hidden gasoline taxes, and hidden taxes on both heavy and light industry which will make essential consumer goods less affordable.

Carney worships the idea Canada can solve the world climate crisis. We can't afford to be the sacrificial lamb at that alter.

Carney truly is a second coming of (current Prime Minister Justin) Trudeau. His advice to the current government was meaningful in getting us to the economic plight we are in now, where our budget cupboard is bare and we are in hock up to our ears.

He champions excessive carbon taxes and helped push corporations to embrace the Liberal notion of wealth redistribution, rather than wealth creation, while at various financial institutions through pushing for hiring targeting DEI rather than excellence in work ethics, creativity, and productivity.

DEI can happen through the education system. It really has (no) place in the workplace, be it public or private jobs. If you’re good at something, work at it , be patient and be recognized through merit.

Lastly, the fact the current Liberal leadership contenders are primarily parroting the Conservatives’ platform of limiting (not shutting down) immigration, creating an extensive cross-Canada energy corridor including our northern coast, targeting increased wealth creation and productivity through tax incentives rather than tax increases, targeting drug and violent crime and removing the smothering red tape of the Liberals at the corporate and small business level, all suggest a lack of creativity, foresight, implementation and knowledge of Canada’s problems by the current government.

We truly need some new blood with a real commitment to Canada, not party, and not to the “elite.” We want people with the energy and creativity to formulate real solutions and implement real life plans, not parrot others, and to bring honest enthusiasm to eradicate the problems of Canada’s lack of attractiveness to world business and capital, be it due to red tape, crime, housing or productivity.

The Liberals blew it. Their “elites” gaslighted Canadians for too many years with rhetoric and distraction of checks and sunny days.
