In his book, “Value(s): Building a Better World for All,” (Liberal party leadership candidate) Mark Carney, the former governor both of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, claims western society is morally rotten and it has been corrupted by capitalism, which has brought about a climate “emergency” that threatens life on earth.
That, he claims, requires rigid controls on personal freedom, industry and corporate funding.
Does that sound like a person who values capitalism and democracy? Not a chance. Carney is a globalist who supports mass immigration, censorship, central bank digital currency, big government, deficits and money printing.
Liz Truss, the former (British prime minister) and finance minister, is on the record stating Carney did tremendous damage to the U.K. economy by printing excessive amounts of money, enabling massive deficits and pushing his net zero hysteria. Further, Carney is proposing implementing carbon tariff to imports he deems not climate friendly.
Carney will be an absolute disaster for Canada. I think he wants a trade war with the U.S. and his actions have been steering Canada in that direction. He hasn’t even mentioned strengthening the border nor had he mentioned building LNG and oil pipelines to get our products to new markets.
The only thing he has stated is Canadians don’t use much steel. I would argue everything we build includes steel to some degree and furthermore, pipe is made from steel. Let’s build capital projects that use Canadian steel.
What’s the saying? “(Kill) two birds, (with) one stone.”
