Upset with city spending
When will the bullying end?
Kamloops (current) “spend and tax” city council has voted to spend nearly $500 million on new buildings in the 20 months since being elected.
The latest plan involves tearing down a perfectly good RCMP building just to replace it with another. The mayor—the lone vote against this proposal—pointed out, we need to explore alternatives.
This kind of spending should go to a referendum, not be pushed through using the Alternative Approval Process.
Garry Davies, Kamloops
