Trump Gaza plan has merit

U.S. President Donald Trump says lots of things, most tongue in cheek—he wants Greenland, Canada to be 51st state and to take over Gaza. He throws out ideas, radical ones sometimes.

But some of his ideas have some merit. Gaza is caught in a “forever” war with Israel, as is Iran and its proxies. There will never be peace with Hamas or, likely, Iran’s current religious extremist regime. Israel is not going anywhere—not voluntarily. It means its “never again” slogan.

Israel is estimated to have 90 to 400 nuclear weapons and will use them if forced. You can take that to the bank. That won’t end well for anyone.

(As for) Gaza, Israel pulled out in 2005. Gazans elected Hamas and the Hamas charter calls for the destruction of Israel. So, after its election and killing its own countrymen, it began its ultra militarization of Gaza—ripping out water pipes and building rockets, building a massive tunnel network which it doesn’t allow their citizens to shelter in like Israel, which built bomb shelters everywhere.

Hamas began its rocket barrage, suicide bomber and similar type attacks right after taking power, forcing Israel to blockade Gaza intermittently. Gazans were working in Israel on Oct 6 and 7. Hamas and many Gazans did their thing, took hostages and held many of them for more than over a year. Israel came in hard and Gaza is now, as Trump said, rubble. Thank Hamas and Iran.

So, now the only option in Gaza is Israeli annexation and to offer moderate Gazans full citizenship like two million Arab Iaraelis have. Extremist Gazans (will be) eliminated, arrested and deported, maybe to Iran, the Hamas and Gazan overlord.

Billions of dollars in international aid was stolen by Hamas to build the Hamas war machine.

So there can never be peace in Gaza with Hamas there. If it rebuilds with Hamas in power, war will go on forever, so the U.S. taking over Gaza is not really that bad an idea. Moderate Gazans should of course be allowed to stay .

I’m not sure how many moderate Gazans there are. Sadly, many Gazans have choosen a path of war over peace and coexistence. Two million Arab Iaraelis get along pretty well, so peace is possible .

As for Canada becoming a U.S. state, that is looking better and better especially if federal Liberals are re-elected to government.
