RE: O Canada!
The original 1908 version of O Canada, a poem written by Robert Stanley Weir, contained this line:
O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love thou dost in us command
In 1927 a slightly modified version was published for the Diamond Jubilee of Confederation. It is the version we're familiar with now.
O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
Hopefully this clears up some of the confusion for your readers.
