Re. David Buckna’s letter Stephen Harper as PM (Castanet, Oct. 3)
Does David Buckna know that Stephen Harper is no longer the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, and will not be running, in any capacity, in any future elections?
If not, why not? If so, then why the long letter (mostly opinions) complaining about Harper? He's been gone nine years. Isn't that long enough to turn the page and look at our current situation with (current Prime Minister Justin) Trudeau having been in office for those same nine years?
When does the statute of limitations run out on looking for boogeymen and hidden agendas? I don't hear (Conservative Leader) Pierre Poilievre complaining about former Liberal prime ministers Pierre Trudeau or Jean Chrétien.
I'm sure if we looked long enough, we could find things to complain about regarding Napoleon, Alexander the Great, Abraham Lincoln, Sitting Bull, Shakespeare, John F. Kennedy, Sir Winston Churchill, and Jesus Christ, too.
But what, really, would be the point?
