Where Did Canada Go?

My young Granddaughter brought home her calendar to what is happening at her school over the next two months, low and behold there is the Winter break. What ever happened to the Christmas Break? How about Christmas concerts?

It seems to me when I started school 45 years ago it was always Christmas Holidays and we had Christmas concerts. Even when my kids went to school it was CHRISTMAS.

I really wonder sometimes if I still live in Canada or if it disappeared some where. We are coming into the Christmas season and it seems that someone is trying to eliminate some of our traditions and VALUES, yes school board our Values.

We tell our children December is our Christmas season and you tell them it's our winter season or our festive season. Every year its seems to get worse, less and less wanting to say the dirty word CHRISTMAS. Why?

This is Canada where we have Hockey, Skiing and where we have always had CHRISTMAS and CHRISTMAS holidays at school. Lets become the true Canada we are and put Christmas back where it was.

Lets allow Canadians to keep some of their past. Let Canadians be true Canadians. Changing one word my not seem like much but it is another nail in the coffin of Canadian customs.
