Re. Justin Serhan’s letter Spend to fix overdose crisis (Castanet, May 15)
I thought Justin Serhan's letter regarding the overdose crisis was very interesting and I agree with him that the governments (B.C. and federal) really don’t know what to do.
Shouldn’t we be investing in the people who live in Canada and give them at least an opportunity to get ahead, as I’m sure most would love to do.
Questions need to be asked about foreign aid that seems to be a priority to the federal government. Spend most of that cash at home where it matters the most and look after your own population first.
You wouldn’t rush into a hazard to help a colleague without ensuring your own safety first. The same principle applies in my eyes.
