How on earth could the people participating in your recent poll “Will you respect the No Trespassing Signs?” decide that they will not respect the signs?
This property BELONGS to someone, they worked, they earned their money, and then they purchased some property. Is that not what the majority of us strive for? Is that not a common goal shared by most people? What gives you people or the City the right to Force someone to sell their property? If the city is allowed to force a sale, how safe is your property?
These people purchased property that nobody else wanted at the time. Many of these areas had no services, services were added at the owner’s expense, and now that our City Planners have sold off everything for the almighty dollar, they want you, the public to back them when they decide oops!, we made a mistake.
These people paid fair market value, they have paid their taxes, and they have the absolute right to enjoy their properties with their own friends and family. How would you like to come home from work to find strangers, regardless of how nice and friendly and respectable they may be, having a picnic on your front yard?
Think about it – you have an obligation to obey “No Trespassing” signs. It is illegal to trespass. Private property is just that, private property! How dare you believe that your wants come ahead of another’s rights. Just something to think about, maybe it’s just me, but this is pure common sense. Respect these people, their privacy, and their rights. I guarantee you I cannot simply go for a walk nor have a picnic on the Mayor’s lawn. Maybe I should, do you think I would be welcome?
