Give retired the tiny homes

Re. Tiny homes for the homeless in Kelowna

Tiny homes are the perfect solution for the older retired folks who have a hard time making ends meet due to the high cost of rentals, food, medications etc.

The bonus is (retire people) could pay a reasonable amount of money for rent with the Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS) they justifiably have earned through working throughout their lifetime. (There would be) no need for supervision or meals. The retired people have already done their fair share of paying taxes and still are required to do so.

Can someone please explain to me why the City of Kelowna and the province decided to provide tiny homes to the homeless?

I grew up in an environment where nothing was free. We had to work for it. Times have changed and I must say, not for the better.
