Agrees with call to fix roads

Re. Fix sidewalks in Penticton (Castanet, Sept. 21)

I agree (with the call to) fix the roads and sidewalks in Penticton.

(It is true) true the bike lanes are not used and the bike riders are riding on the sidewalks. Two years have passed and the Martin Street bike lane remains unused and has cost the city tax money from business closures on the street as a result of no parking.

When will the mayor pay for a study with his own money on the use of bike lanes? We can see with our own eyes they are not working. Something is wrong at city hall and (I believe) voters will correct it in the next (municipal) election.

Where are the councillors who opposed the bike lanes during the last election? We will not forget who you are, (and) we will not get fooled again. As the saying goes, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
