Re. Minimum wage set to jump (Castanet, My 29)
It doesn’t seem to matter what the minimum wage is, it won’t get some people back to work.
Government handouts have crippled many people (causing them) to be lazy and not want to work.
I understand people need to make enough money to cover their monthly expenses, it is very expensive in so many cities and towns but increasing the minimum wage will decrease the number of jobs available.
Many small businesses just cannot afford the cost.
Some people on a fixed incomes, ie: pensions, won’t be able to afford someone to cut their lawn, shovel snow, rack leaves, etc.
Minimum wage has been going up steadily. Has there been any studies to see the effect after each increase?
