There isn't a problem for me if we have to go to water restrictions. I have a nice lawn and don't water it every day. I water it properly. Instead of doing it daily for 20 minutes, I water mine twice per week for about 45 minutes. This way the water gets down into the roots and is more effective than doing the daily sprinkling.
I also take care in not watering my driveway, or my sidewalk and like a neighbour of mine, THE STREET!
I was appalled by some who continued to water heavily during the fire troubles, during the middle of a 40 degree day, and who couldn't care less that they were cleaning the street.
People who have issues with restrictions are generally the people who abuse water. It's time these people paid a heavy price for improper watering.
