Re. Murals part of Rutland's plans (Castanet, March 16)

I love the murals in Rutland.

I think they are an excellent way to brighten up the neighbourhood and create a sense of community pride. What began as a colourful way to cover up those big ugly block walls has become something that we increasingly are becoming known for.

I applaud this developer for taking it a step further and integrating murals into the design of the exterior facade. I have no doubt this will add a whole new level of class to these public art pieces.

I hope URBA and the City of Kelowna do whatever they can to incentivize developers to add beautiful murals to new buildings in our growing community.
