This letter is in response to Mrs. Paquette.
I was a seasonal labourer in Canada for 17 years. I was so poor ($12,000 a year) that no woman would ever consider me.
I am now teaching English and Spanish in China. I have a beautiful 28 year old Chinese fiance. My work is easy, living costs less here, winters are mild, taxes are low and I'm optimistic about the future for the first time in my life.
In Canada, I hated my slave labour, low wages, high cost of living and seasonal employment, which contrary to popular sentiment, was not my choice!
I've always been an economic migrant, working summers in Canada, winters in Mexico, now maybe I can settle down.
I even plan to have a child soon.
I'm leaving Ziyang City to work in Tianjin, near Beijing this month.
