I too am appalled by the comments of the fellow that accepted assistance from the community last summer but would begrudge any assistance by the community to those affected by the Hochelaga fire.
This fellow should understand that the assistance he felt due to him (and received) because of his family's evacuation from their home last summer was available to him even though his insurance policy did not cover expenses related to his evacuation. Apparently his being underinsured for his unexpected expenses did not deter the community from rallying and providing for him and his family in his time of need. No one criticized him for being underinsured. We all pitched in where we could and made his ride through this unfortunate chain of events a lot smoother than it could have been for him.
I agree... Pay it forward man!
