Parks Alive Praise

On behalf of Parks Alive!, I would like to extend a huge thank-you to all the performers, sponsors, volunteers and patrons for everyone’s continued support of the Parks Alive! 2004 summer season.

We are proud to announce that our 2004 summer season was a tremendous success. Parks Alive! produced six concerts a week in July and August plus special events such as Blues Fest and individual concerts for events such as Canada Day and Memorial Cup.

I would like to thank our sponsors: City of Kelowna, Telus, Lake City Casinos, the Kiwanis Clubs of Kelowna, Cultural District, Downtown Kelowna Association, Bingo Kelowna, WestJet and two local radio stations. We could not continue our programming without your generous contributions!

Our wonderful volunteers deserve special recognition as we rely on their help during so many events. Thank you to the Telus volunteers as well as the Kelowna Hostesses.

And, I’d like to recognize the fabulous support we receive from our audience members as we set a record for on-site donations this summer. Everyone who donated to Parks Alive! was entered in a draw for a WestJet flight for two in western Canada. Congratulations to Laurie Lloyd, the winner of this fantastic prize! We also gave away 10 folding lawn chairs in our Lawn Chair Brigade program and we will be watching for the happy recipients in the audience next summer.

I would like to invite everyone back for our fall and winter events as well as the 2005 summer season.
