I must say I am shocked that yet another cat has been mutilated in our city.
I live in the Rutland Area and am an owner of two cats and I can only
imagine the pain those families must be feeling after losing a family pet. I
for one would have a hard time myself let alone the pain my children would
feel.
Why does this go on and why are we so quick to say we have the wrong
man (child). Be it my imagination or not but reality is that while this
alleged suspect was first in custody the killings had stopped? Now that he
has been released to the care of the parents are we continue to have more
cats persecuted.
Are we positive it is not a re-offending situation? Is this person on 24 hours surveillance or let loose in the community to "stay away from animals"? Who Monitors that this person is adhering to the words of the
law? Was this person not mentally able to understand their actions? (as we
are lead to believe from the media).
If so why is he allowed out and about without supervision? My personal opinion is watch the one we have while looking for others. Let's not be naive and turn blind eyes. We all know this is how many serial killers started out by killing animals. And to the Cat Killer - Get some help before you move on to my children! Very concerned.
