(It’s) unlikely Christians driving in circles, making wishes to (God), is the reason (the patient written about) survived.
The writer seems to have omitted the whole very secular medical /doctor/ nurse part of his recovery. They probably helped (God) to save him.
Or it could be people who know nothing about healthcare driving in circles?
