Yes Shawn Thomas, you are right. Right now (health care workers) are heroes but if we had a shopping mall shooter, then police officers would be our heroes, a lost child and search and rescue workers would be our heroes, keeping the store shelves full, truckers are heroes. You see where I’m going with this?
So please don’t be so hard on C. Boldt. (Stop the ‘hero-worship’ Castanet, Oct. 18)
The point is that given any situation, many people are heroes. It just so happens right now Covid-19 is front and centre, so it gets all the press and the attention.
Health care workers are extremely important but no more important than all the other vocations that work so hard to make this old world go around.
