This is all the media's fault

The media have failed us. There is a reason freedom of the press exists in our charter. It's to ensure that the government is held accountable.

The media is not supposed to be an arm of any political ideology, nor does it exist to simply regurgitate information or press releases coming from the government. Their job is to pressure the government and hold them accountable for their decisions and report to the public. This is not been happening.

When was the last time you heard of any reporter or any media outlet really pressure a government official related to any of these Covid mandates? You haven't, because it hasn't been happening. They have bought into the narrative hook, line and sinker. The goal post continually moves, the government data is never scrutinized, and the efficacy and science behind decisions is never been challenged. The propaganda coming from our government is only regurgitated. Our government has become intoxicated with their new power, and the media are at the dinner party.

The media has become a communication vehicle for government propaganda. They don't deserve the protections of the charter anymore, because they are no longer a Free Press. They have become ideological, they no longer challenge government If they agree with the ideology. There is no more accountability by government because our only real means to access any information is through the media, and the government knows this, and they know our media has become weak, pathetic, and easy to manipulate.

What has become very disturbing is the media is no longer apolitical. They have all picked sides and become a propaganda arm for the political beliefs they believe in. And I mean this for media outlets on both sides of the political divide.

And who do I blame? The citizens for not being angry about it, and in most cases, not caring.

I'm disgusted, and for those of you in the media, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
