I think the public has a right to know who the parole board members were that let a killer walk the streets of Vernon. They should be made accountable for their choice to release this man and we should know their thoughts behind it.
It is strange that a man can kill and there has to be a unanimous decision by a jury of twelve to put him away but a vote of two to one on a three person panel can give him another opportunity to kill.
There are people who would say the death penalty would have prevented this and I am one of those people. Especially if it is a second offense such as this one. Maybe it's time for the people of Canada to look at reinstating the death penalty for a repeat offender.
I vote yes.
Thank You
L.N.
