Thanks to the workers

At a local fruit farm in the Okanagan, as of today, a mixture of Mexicans, Jamaicans and Guatemalans more-or-less 130 people are working on that farm.

In harvest time these numbers triple, more or less 95 per cent of these workers are not Canadians, reasons being, generally speaking the majority of Canadians refuse to work on fruit farms. Neither students or unemployed people.

Really the truth is, there are plenty of summer jobs for students here in the Okanagan with plenty of different fruit farms, who have to employ foreign workers!

Thanks to those workers, the fruit gets to the market. Without these workers the fruit would be rotten on the ground.
