This won't do a thing

Trudeau is at it again, targeting law abiding citizens for his feeble attempt to gain votes. These proposed gun bans don't apply to criminals, who are responsible for the little gun crime we do have in this country. He even used footage from the US of people shooting actual assault rifles, which are still legal in some states, but have been banned in Canada since the 70's, to persuade the uninformed population that we don't need these guns in our country. Newsflash! They're already illegal here!

All this BS does is incriminate legal gun owners, and does absolutely nothing to reduce gun crime in Canada, all on the taxpayers dime. Apart from that, parliament has less than 55 days left before the summer break and the election. That is not nearly enough time for this bill to go through all the necessary channels to be actually passed, so it is purely a mindless attempt to sway voters. Bill C71 took 350 days to get through. 55 days is not gonna happen.

And now the proposed municipal handgun bans. The Canadian firearms program is federal, yet these clowns are trying to pass the buck onto municipalities. Legally owned handguns cannot leave their safe unless being transported directly to and from a sanctioned gun range, and must be permitted to do so. Canadian firearms owners are also vetted daily, so any run-ins with the law pop up immediately and if that person poses a threat to anyones safety, their firearms are immediately seized. Taking handguns from legal gun owners will not remove them from the streets. Guns used for the purpose of crime are obtained illegally, and those criminals won't surrender a damn thing. This government is a joke and needs to be removed from office ASAP.
