Stop with the division

I would like to ask that we stop focusing on the people who are bad actors when it comes to not wearing a mask. The results of these highlights only serve to hurt those of us who have legitimate reasons not to wear a mask.

For me, I suffer from chronic sinus infections, due to polyps. On an average basis, I am fine and can go about life normally. Wearing face coverings, however, causes flare ups. I can not rationalize it, I simply know that when I wear them I suffer for it. Even wearing a mask for 10 minutes will cause a painful flare up for a day or so, giving me debilitating migraines.

I am not here to say woe is me. I'm here to say, shame on you. Highlighting people who are jerks only serves to further divide everyone. Now I get to be a victim of more discrimination, as if being a minority isn't enough. When I try to enter a store or other public setting, I am scrutinized and frowned upon. I am judged as though I am a conspiracist, or something, for having a legitimate condition. People are often rude and snarky.

I shouldn't have to explain to you why and how I am taking care of my health. I shouldn't have to feel like I have to have some kind of special card at the ready to explain my health condition to you.
I could sit here and highlight all the times people are really nasty to me for not wearing a mask, saying rude things and treating me unkindly, but I don't do that because it doesn't help.

So, Stop it. Stop highlighting rude people. Stop encouraging rude people. Stop being rude people.
It does not matter where you stand or how you believe. Just stop it.
