West Kelowna council has voted to pass their portion of the costs required to build the new Rose Valley Water Treatment plant onto the users. Rose Valley customers have dealt with poor water quality for years. Now that the Rose Valley system has been brought up to the same level as the rest of the city, Rose Valley residents are expected to pay more.
The costs need to be shared across the entire city of West Kelowna.
Why are Rose Valley residents being asked to pay more for the same water quality as the rest of the city currently enjoys.
I encourage Mayor and Council to rework their decision.
