MEC is the largest non-governmental voting power within Canada at 5.4 million eligible voters. This underhanded, blatant disregard for our democracy by this so called "board of directors" (many of which received special treatment in the nomination process, being "recommended" by the other members of the board) is both disgusting and the refusal to return the membership shares and dividends back to the member base is grounds for a class action lawsuit.
Really glad to see a petition currently going at 8,500 signatures in just a few hours calling out this horrible injustice to our democratic system.
