Open Your Eyes To Drug Problems

Our City and RCMP force are not turning a blind eye to the way our beautiful city is being overtaken by Crystal Meth, Cocaine and Heroin.

How do I know? I'm part of a group of neighbours that has been struggling to close down a crack house in our area, and the City and the RCMP have both heard and responded to our pleas for help. We are nothing but grateful for their presence, assistance and support. We could not be as close as we are to success without them.

It's the population of Kelowna that needs to wake up and be aware of what is happening to our city. Our home. It's the parents who need to know how easily obtainable, cheap and immediately devastating Crystal Meth is (40% addiction rate with the very first hit and the dealers are offering that first hit for $5 and $10). Talk to your children find out where your children are going and what they are doing (and please stop dropping them off in front of our crack house - we're scared for them).

It's the residents of Kelowna who need to open their eyes to see what is happening and understand that those working so hard to solve the problems created by this overwhelming influx of drugs, dealers and addicts can not do it alone. They need our input. They need our support. They need our ideas. They need our letters asking for the funds to be spent in expanding our police force.

Vancouver and Vernon have taken positive action. Kelowna... it is now our turn. It's our problem and we have to deal with it. Complaining isn't going to help action will. Find out what YOU can do and DO IT.
