The end user will pay

I have to laugh at the “Developers to pay more” for parks article. Surely everyone must know who will be paying for these parks — the end user and not the developers who just pass it on down the line.

Ever wonder why the housing costs so much? It is these type of so-called hidden taxes that governments are famous for. Property taxes should be used for park acquisition, period.

Don't get me wrong. The early politicians that saved City Park from development years ago were wise and far thinking — too bad you can't walk there and feel safe anymore.
