Winter shouldn't be surprise

I can't say I've seen much in the way of plowing or salt/sand being applied to the roads.

And then the contractor responsible for this has the gall to tell us public that it's too cold for salt and too windy for sand. What a crock!

Winter happens every year, same time, so nothing new.

Previous contractors applied salt and sand, and it really helps. There have been intersections full of black ice, which is very dangerous. It's hard to get through the intersection because there isn't enough traction to get going. And, yes, I have winter tires installed on my vehicle.

And now the mayor of Coldstream wants action! He is not impressed by the quality of service AIM has delivered.

AIM doesn't like being called on it. "Please don't call us and complain," they say. Well then, do the job you are under contract to do.

Mike Bell, Kelowna
