Winter is here with some unfortunate homeless people living on the streets.
One of the contributing factors to this crisis was the closure of Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam.
The residents there were released into various residential communities in B.C. They were expected to integrate into society.
I ask those responsible how this model could possibly work.
Most were long-term residents who never functioned in society. Why now could they be expected to live and function in society?
Please reopen Riverview, as it would be more fiscally responsible than draining needed resources from communities in this province.
