It appears we've reached the point in the campaign that Andrew Scheer feels truth doesn't matter at all.
How very Trumpian of him. Without a shred of evidence to back up his claims, he says the Liberals will hike the GST. He says they will put a massive tax on your home. He says they will legalize all drugs.
Next, he'll be screaming "Sharia Law!" like many of his supporters. All of these are brazen lies. He knows it, he just hopes you don't.
Scheer has already started to attack the idea of other parties actually working together by having more seats combined, like it's some kind of coup.
This is literally how the Westminster system of parliament is designed to work. Simple math.
For a guy who been an MP (his only job), cashing a taxpayer-funded paycheque since he was 25, and a former speaker of the house, he absolutely knows what he's saying is not true. He's just hoping that you don't.
What happened to principled conservatives, where have they gone? It seems to me that modern day conservatism is basically just the intense fear that somewhere, somehow, someone you think is inferior is being treated as your equal.
Their campaign slogan about you "getting ahead" is designed to make you feel this way. Get ahead of who, exactly?
Regardless of who you support, I hope everyone makes their voice heard on Monday, if you haven't already.
