When my grandfather was young and starting out, the Canadian government gave away land for free if it was lived on and settled.
When my father was young, he could support a family of seven and buy a house on one income.
When I was young, it took two incomes to support a family of five and buy a house.
Most young adults today have virtually no chance of affording a house or children. Why? The short answer: 152 years of governance by the Liberals/Conservatives.
Why anyone wanting to get ahead would vote for either of these tax-raising, promise-breaking culprits is beyond me.
Of the remaining four parties (NDP, Green, Bloc, PPC), which one is most likely going to lower taxes, quit squandering tax dollars, open up competition, which leads to lower prices on everything from cellphone plans to housing? The Bloc? The NDP? The Greens? Hardly.
There's really only one choice. The PPC.
