Paying tax on tax

Lately, I was appalled to discover that the provincial carbon tax in B.C. is also being taxed by the GST.  

The last time I checked, the carbon tax is neither a goods nor a service –  it's a tax.  

Why has this been allowed to continue?

I sent a letter to our Liberal representative in Lake Country, and have never heard back from him.

Is there no-one out there putting up a fight? It’s not right.  

Ottawa continues to bully its citizens by overtaxing them, and this is just one example where it's not right.  

How does one stop it when your government officials won’t return your emails?

Maybe it's time to stop this continue extortion of tax money and look at voting a different party in.
