BC biz, Alberta plates?

It is a well known fact that many people who live and work in B.C. get cheaper insurance by using an Alberta address and vehicle licence plate.

I saw an obvious one recently. The van's advertisement claims to "Serve the Okanagan, while also advertising the company's phone number – (250) obviously not an Albertan company.

So why is their plate from Alberta?

It irritates me that people do this type of thing just to avoid paying more for their insurance. They are not paying their fair share like the rest of us, but are using our roads and aren't paying for their repair and maintenance.

It really grinds my gears! Are they even paying taxes here or what?
