Get facts right on ICBC

I read the letter comparing ICBC and insurance in Alberta.

In 40 years in the general insurance business, I have never heard of auto insurance that covers contents.  

I suggest the writer do some research before stating misleading facts like this.

I agree that ICBC is an inefficient entity with bloated, overpaid management. It’s too bad the Liberals didn’t consider this when they purloined copious millions from the corporation's coffers and put them in their own general funds.

I doubt that private companies would ever come to B.C. because they may set up shop and then the present government may decide to throw them out again.

I guess we’re stuck with ICBC, no accountability and rising premiums.
