I recently made an inquiry to city hall about observations I had made at the goings on in my neighbors yard. Recently feuding with neighbors on one side of my fence over their dog, which finally made me contact the owner of the property to file a complaint, which to my delight she complied and made them remove the animal in which she said they were never allowed to have anyway.
Now with that problem gone I thought things would get back to normal only to find the neighbors on my other side of my house hooking up their laundry machine outside and doing their laundry outdoors allowing their gray water to flow onto the ground. When my wife and I purchased our home four years ago both neighbors were the owners now with the markets doing very well we found now we live next door to renters.
Now I have nothing against renters, being that I to was once a renter, but how can I justify the amount of taxes I pay to city hall knowing that, GET THIS, there is no bylaw stating they can not do their laundry outside, so let it be known to the people of Kelowna we should all follow in these footsteps and move our laundry facilities outdoors, just think of the extra space you can gain!
Anyways I am not going out of my way to make problems with my neighbors, I keep to myself and never bother anyone, but like everyone else some common respect to your surrounding neighbors should be given especially to those who place a lot of value on their property. I wonder if mayor Walter Gray does his laundry outdoors, hmmm doubtful, anyways there you have it, to all of you future home buyers don't just look for a house to buy, but look for a neighborhood you can feel proud of!
Another disappointed tax payer and voter.
