Most cyclist ignore rules

Re: Taking cyclists seriously

I have no problem with cyclists, however the majority of the ones I see on the road are either running red lights, going against traffic, or wearing black at night with no lights.

If they want to be taken seriously, it is time they all start acting like it.

If I get a ticket for running a red light or driving after dark with no lights, so should they.

And if the cyclist is hit by a vehicle because they are violating traffic laws, they should be the ones held liable, and not whine about how drivers have no respect for cyclists or sharing the road.

I have observed more cyclists breaking the laws than following them.
